Spring Season is Award Season
Congratulations to irmos technologies, led by Panagiotis Martakis and Yves Reuland of the Chair of Structural Mechanics and Monitoring, on two important awards to launch their start-up company!
Venture Kick was launched in 2007 by external page Gebert Rüf Stiftung and external page Ernst Göhner Stiftung as a privately financed pre-seed fund. Today, the initiative is supported by 10 private partners, foundations, individuals and companies who all share the same vision: Supporting the next generation of successful entrepreneurs for the prosperity of the Swiss economy and society.
The CHF 150,000 prize, granted to these two innovative minds in March 2023, helps in developing their intelligent platform for structural monitoring and predictive assessment. The combination of sensors and algorithmic processing extends the lifespan and improves the safety of buildings and bridges. In May, additional support was granted to the start-up in the form of Gebert Rüf Stiftungs own external page InnoBooster award. InnoBooster aims at speeding up innovative, science-based deep tech businesses which have already entered the Venture Kick process and promise high market potential. The funding line is calling for convincing proposals which show how a further boost in research & development or design can drive market entry and business success.
