Congratulations to Charikleia Stoura

Recipient of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship for her project OMoRail

The “On-Board Monitoring of In-Service Trains for the Structural Health Monitoring of Railway Bridges” (OMoRail) project, put together by Charikleia Stoura (ETH Zurich), Eleni Chatzi (ETH Zurich), and Alfredo Cigada (Politecnico di Milano), aims at developing a reliable, low-cost methodology to continuously monitor the structural integrity of rail bridges via on-board monitoring of in-service trains. For this purpose, it first collects and processes acceleration data from different in-service trains and then uses these data to export the modal properties of the supporting bridge by exploiting the vehicle-bridge interaction principle.

The OMoRail project is financially supported by the Horizon Europe program under the HORIZON-MSCA-2022-PF-01 call.
