Bao Zhao defends his doctoral thesis
on Nonlinear and metamaterials-based solutions for Elastic Wave and Energy guiding! Bao's work put forth a framework for materials that are enseable, self-sustainable, and feature computing skills.
The thesis was conducted under the main supervision of Dr. Andrea Colombi (ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences) and co-supervision of Prof. Eleni Chatzi (Chair of Structural Mechanics and Monitoring at ETH Zurich)
