Antonios Kamariotis
Short Bio
Antonios completed his PhD (2019-2023) on "Decision Support with Health Monitoring for Deteriorating Engineering Systems" through a collaborative project between the Engineering Risk Analysis (ERA) group at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Chair of Structural Mechanics and Monitoring (SMM) at ETH Zürich. In June 2023, he joined the SMM chair at ETH Zürich, initially as a Scientific Assistant and later as a Postdoctoral Researcher. His research during his PhD and Postdoc focused on the monitoring-supported value creation and systematic integration of health monitoring in the operation and maintenance decision-making process for deteriorating engineering systems. His research interests include Bayesian inference, risk and reliability analysis, prognostics and predictive maintenance, and uncertainty quantification.
Currently, Antonios is working as a Scientist at the Research Center of Hitachi Energy in Baden, Dättwil, focusing on topics related to reliability and prognostics.
