Bao Zhao

Bao Zhao obtained his Ph.D. from ETH Zurich in 2024 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Eleni Chatzi and Dr. Andrea Colombi.  His dissertation, titled «Nonlinear and Metamaterials-Based Solutions for Elastic Wave and Energy Guiding», focused on pioneering the integration of metamaterials and nonlinear dynamics to enhance mechanical wave manipulation. His work provided insights into designing multifunctional mechanical systems capable of vibration mitigation, energy harvesting, and dynamic control.

Currently, Bao Zhao is a Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow at The external page Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he continues to explore innovative solutions in mechanical systems for energy and wave control.
