Georg Kocur

Short Bio

Georg Kocur received a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Germany, and the Ph.D. Degree from the ETH Zurich (IBK), in the area of non-destructive testing of structural concrete. His research interests lie in the areas of experimental mechanics, elastic wave propagation, non-destructive testing and time reversal methods.


After his graduation at ETH Zurich, Georg was a post-doctoral researcher at MIT’s Laboratory for Infrastructure Science and Sustainability. For several years he has been employed as a development engineer at Leviat (home of HALFEN) and is a research associate at the Institute of General Mechanics at RWTH Aachen University in Germany.
