Short Bio

Paul received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in 2017, including two internships at BUNG Ingenieure AG and at Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG. Thereafter, he obtained his master's degree from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in 2020, which included two semesters at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETH). Also his thesis on "Model order reduction for guided wave propagation using local bases with application to non-destructive testing" was written at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETH).

Paul joined the Chair of Structural Mechanics at ETH Zurich in October 1st 2020 and is working on reduced order modelling with application to structural health monitoring as a PhD student. The research is part of the project "Fusion of Models and Data for Enriched Evaluation of Structural Health", which is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Research
