Showcasing our work in Singapore

This summer offered two important opportunities for disseminating our research work wit the Future Resilient Systems (FRS) program at the SIngapore ETH Center (SEC).

On June 27th 2023, a Swiss National Council delegation visited the Singapore-ETH Centre enaging in discussion and exchange on the basis of a research showcase. During the event, Dr. Xudong Jian, Postdoctoral Researcher with Module 1 of the FRS (seen on the left image), showcased the robotic mobile sensing platform developed as part of our Module to Mr. Martin Candinas, President of the Swiss National Council, and further delegation members. The exhibition demonstrated how the robotic platform can be used to identify charectaristic parameters of bridge and roadway structures in an automatic and efficient way.

On August 4th 2023, during the visit of the Swiss Federal councilor Ignacio Cassis to the Singapore ETH Centre, Dr. Xudong Jian and Kiran Bacsa, Doctoral Candidate with Module 1 of the FRS, (seen on the right picture) had the opportunity to present our contributions in the domain of Structure Health Monitoring using Mobile Sensing. The presentation particularly emphasized the transfers knowledge between Swiss and Singapore institutions in the field of infrastructure network maintenance.
